Why I Run
I moved to Boston for grad school seven years ago from China and stayed for a job in Back Bay at 200 Berkeley, a few blocks from the Boston Marathon finish line. I remember it like yesterday the horror and fear the city experienced on April 15, 2013. But what struck me harder was the strong spirit of this unbeatable city that brought people together. Thanks to the talented and devoted professionals at Tufts Medical Center, many of the injured were treated and recovered after the tragedy.
The 2019 Boston Marathon is the first on a bombing anniversary. For that reason, it has its very special meaning to me. I love Boston and now call it home, and I want to give back. On this 2019 Marathon day, I want to run in memory of the three victims of the 2013 bombing (one of whom was a Chinese student like I was), and in honor of the heroes at Tufts that helped this city and its people recover.

I am very grateful for your generosity, and I want to give something to all my donors in return. I love photography and over the years, I took thousands of pictures of places I visited and moments I witnessed. I made a selection of my photos and wanted to share them with you. Starting at $25, the bigger the donation, the bigger the print. I also offer private portrait sessions as a reward. Please click on the button below for more information. I thank you for joining me on this journey, and I look forward to sharing my photos with you.
